Fred Pilgrim, 69, of Anderson, SC passed away on Saturday, February 03, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House. Born March 29, 1948, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Lewis Pilgrim and the late Hazel Lee Roberts Moore and her husband, the late Ira Moore. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Dianne Smalley. He was a police officer for 30 years and retired from Anderson County Sheriff's office. He was a member of Eureka Baptist Church. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. Fred was affectionately known as "Pop" and enjoyed woodworking after retirement. He is survived by his wife, Cam Pilgrim; son, Marcus Harper (Rachael); daughter, Christa Buchanan (David); brother, Randall Pilgrim (Deborah); grandchildren, Caila (Bruce Lee), Dillon, Josh (Codi), Chris, Will (Mary-Katherine) and Gena; great grandchildren, Zoee, Camdyn, Addyson and Raegan. The graveside service will be at 12:00 pm Monday, February 5, 2018 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Lloyd Robison officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
