FRED TRUMAN TILLER July 5, 1942 - October 2, 2008FISHKILL, NYMr. Fred Truman Tiller, born July 5, 1942 in Anderson, SC passed away on October 2, 2008 in New York. He was an alumni of Connie Maxwell Children's Home, Ellenberg Cottage from 1957 ' 1961, where he took great pleasure in mastering the print shop. Truman served aboard the USS Wasp Aircraft Carrier from 1961-1966. After his discharge, he continued his love of printing with IBM Corp in New York.Mr. Tiller is preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Shaw, his father, G. Isham Tiller and brothers, Jimmy A. Tiller of Anderson, George I. Tiller Sr., of Greenwood and Dewey Lee Phillips of Williamston. He is survived by his wife, Ann, son, Brian E. Tiller, daughters, Justine Tiller-D'Alatri and Jill Adams; grandchildren, Gina and Jesse, his sister, Gale T. Brown of Anderson, SC; brothers, Larry Phillips of Belton, SC and Tommy Vaughn of Toccoa, GA, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his 'brothers and sisters' whom he always considered close family from Connie Maxwell Children's Home. There will be a Memorial Service held at Connie Maxwell Children's Home, Sam Smith Activities Building, Ransford Room, Greenwood, SC on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 2:00 pm.A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting www.mcdougaldfuneralhome.comCourtesy announcement by The McDougald Funeral Home
