FREDDIE DAVIS August 15, 1945 - April 23, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Freddie Fant Davis, age 67, of Anderson, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Hamer Fant Davis and the late Violet Scoggins Davis. He had worked for many years in the textile industry, mostly at the Wamsutta Plant. Most recently he had worked in the engineering department at AnMed Health. Freddie loved people, he helped people in every way, but above all he especially loved and served Jesus Christ. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple. He is survived by his sons, Phillip and Bradley Davis, both of Anderson; a daughter, Teresa Davis Stewart of Anderson; brothers, Jack Davis of Townville and Lewis Davis of Anderson; three sisters, Connie Blair and Jane Richey of Anderson and Betty Swaney of Pendleton; five grandchildren, Joshua Davis, Zachary and Cameron Stewart, and Justin and Alex Davis. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Lois Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Davis and two brothers, Jimmy and Albert Davis. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Gethsemane Baptist Temple with Reverend Sam Duncan officiating. There will be a private interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
