Freddie Mitchell, age 74, of Anderson, SC, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024, at Regency Hospital.

Born March 13, 1949, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late William Harold Mitchell and Gladys Sheriff Mitchell. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Terry Mitchell.

Freddie was a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School Class of 1967 and formerly served in the S.C. National Guard in Clemson. He was the store manager for Sherwin Williams in Anderson prior to his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf and working in his shop but most of all he loved spending time with his granddaughters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Frances Vaughn Mitchell; daughter, Missy Greene (Matthew); and granddaughters, Caroline Greene and Audrey Grace Greene.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 1:30-3:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A private family graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
