Frederick Arthur Morahan, age 89, of Anderson, SC, formerly from Danvers, MA, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 6, 2021, with his wife & family by his side & his dearly loved dog Petey. Born November 28, 1931, in Springfield, MA, he was a son of the late Peter James Morahan and Edith Costello Morahan. He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years of marriage, Joan Virginia Matthews Morahan; son, Bill Morahan and his wife Carole of Anderson, SC; daughters, Ginger Cross and her husband Ralph of Polk City, FL, Linda McCarthy of Anderson, SC, Joan Lothrop and her husband Don of Anderson, SC, and Maureen Sabino and her husband Randy of Topsfield, MA; brother Kevin Morahan and his wife Nancy of Katy, TX; grandchildren Jason McCarthy and his wife Margaret, Christie Lothrop and her partner Alfredo, Corrie Dury and her husband Ryan, Alyssa Morahan and her fiance Zach, Haley Sabino and Sean Morahan; great grandchildren, Kelly McCarthy and Sarah McCarthy and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Peter Morahan; siblings, Jimmy Morahan, Dorothy Jameson, and Karen Orthman Shroyer. There will be a private family service.
