Fredrick R. Peterson Taylors, SC Fredrick Richard Peterson, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at the McCall Hospice House. Born in Trenton, NJ, on October 24, 1923, he was the son of the late Herbert J. Peterson and the late Frances G. Peterson. He worked at the U.S. Steel Co. in Fairless Hills, PA for 33 years, retiring in January of 1986. He loved woodworking. Fred served the Lord by spreading good news, and was a former member of Oakwood Baptist Church, in Anderson and most recently, Taylors First Baptist Church, in Taylors, SC. He was a member of the Senior Fellowship Life Group, and a former volunteer with AnMed Health. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Peterson, of the home; a son, John Henry Peterson; daughters, Emma Jean Fenton and her husband Richard, of Surprise, AZ, Joan P. Hood and her husband Jim, of Glendale, AZ, Beth Ann Peterson, of Hamilton, NJ, and Sharon N. Parris and her husband Aaron, of Taylors, SC; a sister, Marie Costantini, of Trenton, NJ; and eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James R. Peterson; two brothers and one sister. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Dr. Jimmie Harley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral hom, on Friday, prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A service with burial will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania.
