FRONIE GRANT December 28, 1918 - October 21, 2007ROCK HILL, SCMrs. Fronie Brooks Grant, age 88, formerly of Clinton, SC, died Sunday, October 21, 2007 at Rock Hill Healthcare in Rock Hill, SC.Born in Anderson, SC on December 28, 1918, Mrs. Grant was a daughter of the late Tom Brooks and Zeree Mayfield Brooks. She was retired from Bailey Mills in Clinton, SC and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and of Southside Baptist Church in Columbia, SC. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include her daughters, Carol Powell and her husband, Jack of Fort Mill, SC and Jan Vassar of Anderson, SC; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, six sisters and one grandson.A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 1:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson with Mr. Paul Fleming officiating.The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.The family will be at the home of her daughter, Jan Vassar, 2103 Rolling Green Road, Anderson, SC.A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visitingwww.mcdougaldfuneralhome.comThe McDougald Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
