Obituary

Gail Adamo, age 85, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Anderson Medical Center.

Born in New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late John Mitchell and Mae Murdock Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Mitchell and James Mitchell; sister, Mary Jean Mitchell.

Gail had a creative and vibrant spirit with a heart of gold. She loved the color purple and was a proud member of both the Red Hat Society and T.O.P.S. Gail found great joy in the theater, whether she was performing on stage or sitting in the audience enjoying a production. She had a passion for decorating, especially for her favorite holidays, Christmas and Halloween, which she celebrated with enthusiasm and creativity. Her many talents included ceramics, doll making and collecting, and candle making. Gail loved spending time playing Bunko. Above all, Gail cherished spending time with her family and friends. She loved cooking for those she cared about and was especially known for her delicious cheesecake, which she happily shared with everyone, and which became one of her most treasured signatures. Her warmth, creativity, and generosity will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Stuart; sons, Scott F. Wnuck, Joseph W. Wnuck, Kevin J. Wnuck; daughter, Robyn L. Wnuck-Bundy; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 11:00 am at Grace Episcopal Church with FR. Jack Hardway officiating. Visitation will follow in the church after the service.
