Gary Wayne Ashwell, age 83, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Linley Park Post Acute.

Born March 1, 1943, in Oak Hill, WV, he was the son of the late Lester Arnold Ashwell and Edna Michael Ashwell. He was also preceded in death by one son, Gary Don Ashwell.

Gary was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force retiring after over 20 years of dedicated service to his country.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolynn Sue Samel Ashwell; son, Art Reeves of Waco, TX; daughters, Tammi Pittman (James) of Fayetteville, WV and Susan Jenson of Boise, ID; and 4 grandchildren.
