COBB 'CHOPPER 1' September 4, 1950 - September 2, 2008ANDERSON, SCMr. Gary Lane Cobb, age 57, husband of Judy Crumpton of 112 Hunter Street, passed away on Tuesday, September 02, 2008 at his residence.Born in Townville, SC on September 4, 1950, Mr. Cobb was a son of Ruth Gentry Thomson and the late Furman Cobb. He was a graduate of Tri-County Technical College. He retired from Greenfield Industries and was a former employee for over 16 years at Orr-Lyons Mill. Mr. Cobb was of the Baptist Faith.Survivors include his wife, Judy Crumpton Cobb of the home; son, Jonathan Brock Cobb and his wife, Vicky; daughter, April Roach and her husband, Christopher all of Anderson; mother, Ruth Gentry Thomson of Fair Play, SC; brothers, Mitchell Cobb and Bill Cobb, both of Townville and David Cobb of Oakway, SC; sisters, Dorothy Durham of Fair Play, SC, Terry Oakley and Jeanette Woods, both of Townville, SC; four grandchildren, Stephanie and Caleb Roach, Haley Cobb and Jonathan Brock Cobb, Jr.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 12:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Jack Ray. Interment will follow in New Silver Brook Cemetery in Anderson.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional.
