MIKE PEARSON January 24, 1947 - October 22, 2008PELZER, SCMr. Gary Michael Pearson, age 61, husband of Frances Redden Pearson of 102 Springfield Drive, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the Rainey Hospice House of complications from prostate cancer.Born in Anderson, SC on January 24, 1947, Mr. Pearson was a son of Juanita Thrasher Pearson and the late Oscar Roy Pearson. He was the former owner and operator of Cycle Plus and Pearson Electronics. He was a member of the Piedmont Masonic Lodge and Clouds of Thunder Motorcycle Ministries. Survivors include his wife, Frances Redden Pearson of the home; sons, Kenneth Pearson and his wife, Kara of Long Beach, CA, Kevin Pearson and his wife, Alisha of Anderson; stepsons, Christopher Redden, Samuel Dees, Scott Lathen, Adam Clark and Jason Anderson; mother, Juanita Thrasher Pearson of Anderson; brother, Keith Pearson and his wife, Debbie; sister, Beverly Rodriguez and her husband, Jim; two grandsons, Tyler and Cole Pearson; mother of his children, Patricia Carico; and step-grandchildren, Zachery Redden, J. J. Redden, Robert Murphy, Michael Dees, McKenzie Redden, Jordan Lathen, Danielle Schroeder, Katie Schroeder and David Schroeder.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Michelle Pearson.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Chaplain Richard Taylor and Reverend Kevin R. Smalley. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 24, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional.
