Fredericks Street, Anderson, husband of the late Nella Payne Spake, died Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Anderson, SC on June 19, 1940, Mr. Spake was a son of the late Henry 'Grinny' Spake and Vivian Carnes Spake. He was a 1959 graduate of Boys High School, Anderson College and received a BA from Savannah Bible College He retired from Michelin Tire Manufacturing with more than 20 years of service. Mr. Spake was an Ordained Minister and founder of the Golden Key Ministry. He was a member of Outreach Ministries Church in Pendleton, SC where he was a Sunday School Teacher and assisted in pastoral duties of the church. Survivors include a son, Lee Spake of Anderson, SC: daughters, Elizabeth S. Davis of Anderson, SC and Diana S. Thrasher of Townville, SC; brother, Jimmy Spake of Anderson, SC and five grandchildren, Brent, Julie-Anna and Timmy Davis and Corey and Garrett Thrasher.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Erica Lee Davis. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Bob Hart. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 13, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of his daughter, Elizabeth Davis, 108 Sugar Creek Lane, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
