Gaynell Carpenter Selvey, age 92, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at her home.

Born May 2, 1932, in Spindale, NC, she was a daughter of the late Grady Carpenter and Gladys Masters Carpenter. She was also preceded in death by her husband Leo Everett Selvey; children Debbie Keeler and Ronnie Selvey; brothers, Earl Carpenter, Billy Carpenter, and Olin Carpenter; and sister, Evelyn Carpenter.

Gaynell was a very creative and talented woman. She was a pianist and artist who loved to sew and color. She also made bird houses, flower arrangements, and dolls. She was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church. Gaynell loved her family dearly and she will be missed by all who were privileged to know her.

She is survived by her children, Donna Fuller, Lynn Darby (Steve), and Duane Selvey, all of Anderson; sister, Barbara Isenhour of Gastonia, NC; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren.

Services will be private.
