Gena Bostic Alberson, 47 of Starr, SC passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017. Born July 7, 1970 in Anderson, SC, Gena was a daughter of Mildred Moore Bostic and the late Billy Bostic. She was also preceded in death by her baby sister, Jill Melissa Bostic. She was a graduate of Crescent High School, class of 1988 where she played softball. She was also a graduate of North Greenville College earning a degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She enjoyed being a cheerleader while she attended there. She formerly worked with AnMed Health and Hospice of Upstate as a caregiver. Gena was a lifelong member of Starr Baptist Church. In addition to her mother; she is survived by her husband of 16 years, Dean Alberson; sister, Angie Bostic Thomas (Marc) of Chattanooga, TN; niece and nephew, Anna Thomas Chambers (Korey) and Brooks Thomas all of Chattanooga, TN. The family will receive friends from Noon until 1:30 pm Friday, August 4, 2017 at Starr Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Tony Howell officiating.
