GENE BOBOFebruary 5, 1931-January 31, 2009OBITUARYTOWNVILLE, SCMr. Eugene Foster Bobo, age 77, of 908 Dogwood Lane, husband of Nancy Johnston Bobo, died Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Anderson, he was the son of the late Eugene Loy Bobo and Naomi Loudermilk Bobo. Mr. Bobo was a 1947 graduate of Boys High and attended Clemson University. He was the owner and operator of Bobo Well Drilling for many years and then later was involved with numerous water systems throughout the Upstate. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist church and the Victor Caudle Sunday School class. Gene had an avid love of the outdoors, which included boating, fishing, and was a champion water skier. His love and devotion to his family will be remembered forever.Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Nancy Johnston Bobo; three sons, Eugene F. Bobo, Jr. and his wife, Diane of Anderson, Charles Andrew Bobo of Anderson, and William Johnston Bobo of Clinton; his daughter, Julie Davis and her husband Jerry of Anderson; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Cary and Anne Doyle and Bill and Peggy Hendrix, all of Anderson; eight grandchildren, Katie and Lori Bobo of Greenwood, Gracie Bobo, Jessie, Taylor, and Parker Anne Davis, all of Anderson, and Charlie and Angel Bobo of Elgin, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Dr. William R. Childs.
