'Bud' Brown, was called from this life on the afternoon of April 14th and is now 'absent from the body and face-to-face with the Lord' (2 Corinthians 5:8). Mrs. Brown was born in Anderson, SC on September 22, 1922 to Handy Weldon Kay and Julia (Adams) Kay. She graduated from Hanna High School in1940. She and Mr. Brown were married for 65 years. Mrs. Brown was also predeceased by her daughter, Brenda, by her sister, Edna Ruth Crain, and a brother, Frank Earl Kay. She is survived by her three sons, Allan E. Brown of Greenville, Windell A. Brown of Iron Station, NC and Colonel Timothy L. Brown of Ft. Meade, MD and by her daughters-in-law, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She is also survived by a brother, Weldon L. Kay, who resides at Cobb Nursing Home in Comer, GA and three sisters-in-law, Margaret Kay, also of Cobb Nursing Home, Fannie Ruth McDowell of Bowman, GA and Rachel Brown of Elberton, GA, she also has a brother-in-law, Frank H. Brown of North Augusta, SC.A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by Allen E. Brown, Col. Tim Brown and Rev. Lloyd Robison. Mrs. Brown will be interred at Hillcrest Cemetery in Bowman, GA.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Rev.
