GENEVA McBEE KECK Geneva McBee Keck, age 91, widow of Hugh Keck, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at National Health Care, Anderson, SC. She was born October 12, 1923, in Monroe, Michigan, the oldest child of Herman and Nancy Stump McBee. She worked at Union Camp in Monroe for thirty-one years, retiring in 1981. Geneva was a member of the North Monroe Street Church of God from the time it was founded until her move to Anderson, South Carolina in 2002 to be near family. She lived in the Summer House at Anderson Place for eleven years before moving to NHC. In addition to her parents and husband, Geneva was preceded in death by her brother, Arlie McBee, and nephews, Greg McBee and Patrick McBee. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Stinson (Larry) of Townville, SC; sisters, Wanda Hayes of Jacksonville, FL and Jewell Yeary (Marshall) of Orange City, FL; brother, Don McBee of Fort Myers, FL; three grandchildren, Kathy Farmer (Dr. Andy Farmer) of Anderson, SC, Melissa Hardeman (Robert) of Alpharetta, GA, Matthew Stinson (Amy) of Cumming, GA; seven great-grandchildren, Joey Farmer, Sarah Farmer Senn (Caleb), Graham Farmer, Jake Barclay, Kaylee Barclay, Jacob Hardeman, and Christopher Stinson; three nephews, William McBee (Denese), David Yeary, and Stephen Kay; and niece, Arlene McBee Willis. Geneva's greatest joys in life were her faith and her family. The family would like to express gratitude to the staff of Station 3 at NHC for the loving care and devotion provided to Mrs. Keck during her residency. The family will be at the residence of Larry and Joan Stinson, 221 Stelling Drive, Townville, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, September 6, 2015, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. The Memorial Service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Keck will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2015, at 3:30 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home in Anderson, with Rev. Dan Batson officiating. Interment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in LaSalle, MI, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015.
