Born in Anderson County on March 1, 1932, Mr. Bowen was a son of the late Rufus Henry Bowen and Nettie Jeannette Freeman Bowen. He was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas with over 30 years of service, and he also served in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Doris Bowen of the home; son, Brian Rudolph and his wife, Tracy; special granddaughter, Sarai Leighann and grandson, Zachary, all of Townville; sisters, Mrs. Cecil 'Ena' Owen of Pendleton and Mrs. Varon 'Joyce' Philyaw of Anderson and sister-in-law, Irma O. Bowen.He was preceded in death by four brothers, Clint, Lawrence, Carl and Ralph Bowen.The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Bob Hicks officiating.
