EVANS April 29, 1912 - September 25, 2006IVA, SCMr. George Warren Evans, age 94, of 1301 Old Bell Road, husband of the late Sara Florence Brown Evans, died Monday, September 25, 2006 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.Born in Iva, SC on April 29, 1912, Mr. Evans was a son of the late Mason G. Evans and Delma Parnell Evans. He was a retired farmer and retired from Jackson Mill. He was a member of Generostee A.R.P. Church where he served as Elder.Survivors include a brother, Dr. Joseph Evans of Anderson; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charlie Evans, a sister, Dr. Sue O'Rorke and a brother, Thurman Evans.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 11:00 am at Generostee A.R.P. Church, Iva, SC. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of Jimmy 'Bo' Evans and Kyesuk Evans, 103 Brighton Road, Allen Woods, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
