STARR, SC'Mr. George Lewis Hays, Jr., age 65, of 3211 Middleton Road, Starr, SC died Sunday, January 22, 2006 at AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson County on November 14, 1940, Mr. Hays was the son of the late George Lewis Hays, Sr. and the late Mary McPhail Hays. He was a retired mechanic and a member of Varennes Presbyterian Church.Mr. Hays is survived by a son, Michael Hays of the home; two brothers, Charles Hays of Iva, SC and Lyman Hays of Starr, SC; and one grandson, William Samuel Hays of the home.
