George Manley, Jr., age 76, beloved husband of Mary Chambers Manley passed away on April 17, 2016 at his residence. Born on July 8, 1939 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late George Manley, Sr. and the late Gertis Webb Manley. George proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and then went on to work as a sales representative the remainder of his career. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and Sunday School Secretary. He loved his family, golf, and his little dog Zeke. In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by his sons, Gary Dale Manley (JoBeth) and Timothy Neil Manley (Stephanie) all of Powdersville; grandsons, Chris Manley (Ashley), Stephen Manley (Kayla), Brooks Manley and Josh Manley; wonderful great-grandchildren, Lydia and William Manley; and a sister, Dianne Nixon of Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Kenny Manley; and a sister, Brenda Hill. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church with Reverends Bob Marcaurelle and Chase Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The families are at their respective homes and will receive friends at Concord Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 prior to the service from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Haven of Rest Ministries, P.O.
