George Thomas McNeely Anderson, SC George Thomas McNeely, age 76, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late William Herman McNeely and the late Alma Irene Childers McNeely. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a truck driver for 46 years. He was of the Pentecostal Faith. He is survived by his second wife, Priscilla Nelson McNeely, of the home; son, Dale McNeely and his wife Karen, of Pelzer; two daughters, Scottina McClellan, of Pelzer and Kim Van Rijn and her husband Stephen, of Anderson; a step-son, Ala Spearman, of Easley, SC; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters and 2 brothers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeannie Seigle McNeely. The Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veteran's Cemetery with Pastor Martin Foster officiating. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, prior to the service, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
