George Curtis Oliver, 69, of Tokeena Crossroads, passed away on Thursday May 19th, 2016 at his residence. Curtis was born on July 30th, 1946 in Easley, SC, to the late George Cline Oliver and Ethel Mae Bryant Oliver. Curtis proudly served his country in the US Army in the Vietnam Era and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley. Curtis was the co-owner of Oliver Services. Curtis is survived by his loving wife, Faye Oliver of their home; children: Lisa Crawford (Kevin) of Beaufort, SC, George Curtis Oliver, Jr. of Ft. Pierce, FL, Sean Nicholson (Mary) of Westminster, SC, and Glenn Nicholson of Lancaster, CA.; and 12 grandchildren; siblings: Robert Oliver, Louise Allison, Linda Phillips, Frances Martin, and Betty Black. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ann Thompson. Services will be held on Sunday, May 22nd, 2016 at 4:00pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home in Anderson, SC with Pastors Steve Bielby and Shawn Street officiating. Interment will follow in Oconee Memorial Park in Seneca, SC. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 3:30pm on Sunday, May 22nd, 2016 at the funeral home prior to the service.
