George Edward Parker, Sr., age 83, of Townville, SC, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at AnMed Medical Center.

Born September 15, 1941, in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Harry Cramer and Gladys Orr Parker. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

George was formerly a lead mechanic with US Air and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of Townville Presbyterian Church. George was an avid hunter and golfer and enjoyed working in his yard. He could often be found riding his tractor. He never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to people. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 39 years wife, Frances Jean Woody Parker; sons, George Parker, Jr., Patrick Parker, David Parker, and Matthew Parker; brother, Kenneth Parker; and grandson, Bryan Parker.

No services are planned.
