George Tucker Watt, 94, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. Born on March 18, 1929, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Sidney Tate Watt and Eunice Tucker Watt. George grew up on a farm in Flat Rock. He proudly served in The United States Air Force from 1951 until 1955 and served in the Reserves until 1959. He was married for 73 years to the love of his life, Wilma. George became enamored with cars at a very young age and worked at Sullivan Motors then Arnett Motors for over 40 years. He loved taking good care of his customers, especially the ladies. George always had a beautiful garden that he generously shared with anyone and everyone. He loved his children, but he particularly enjoyed his grandchildren and taught them all to drive. He was a good friend to have in your corner and had the world's best laugh. He is survived by his son, Buhl B. Watt (Rita); daughter, Mary Watt Jamison (Douglas); sister, Margaret Stamps; grandchildren, Bryant Jamison, Lexie Kelly (Kane), Gable Jamison (Anna), Dillon Watt (Ashton) and Alex Watt; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 10:00-10:45 am at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am in the chapel. with Rev. Bob Marcaurelle officiating. A private family committal will be held at Starr Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Richard M.
