(Cindy) Smith Dunn, age 49 of McCormick, SC, peacefully passed away after an extended illness on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at the Hospice Care of Piedmont in Greenwood, SC with her family at her side.Born in Anderson, SC on October 18, 1959, Cindy was the daughter of Vera Nimmons Taylor and the late Bobby R. Smith. She was a former employee of Santens of America and Mayfair Mills in Starr. She attended Westside High School and was a member of Evergreen Hills Baptist Church. Survivors include her mother, Vera Nimmons Taylor of Iva; husband, Ronnie L. Dunn; daughter, Jennifer Crawford and spouse, Jamie of Starr; brother, Bill Smith and spouse, Cheryl of Iva; granddaughters, Casandra and Kenlee Crawford; step-grandson, Mark Bowman; niece, Erika Smith; nephew, Randall Smith; aunts, Faye and Frances Porter and uncle, Larry Smith.In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a brother, Randy Smith; maternal grandparents, John and Hazel Karr Nimmons and paternal grandparents, Cecil W. and Gladys Mauldin Smith.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Charlie Howell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.The family will be at the home of her brother, Bill Smith, 101 Tanglewood Street, Iva, SC.Flowers are optional.
