Gerald Baskerville passed away peacefully on January 24, 2018 at 84 years of age. A native of Wilmington (Symerton), Illinois, he graduated from Illinois State University where he met his wife of 49 years, Evelyn Mill Baskerville. She preceded him in death in 2010, as did his brother, Robert Baskerville. He was the son of the late Raymond and Margaret Van Duyne Baskerville. Jerry was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and was a Quality Control Specialist for the Department of Defense at the Rock Island Arsenal in Moline, Illinois. In 1989, Jerry retired to Anderson, South Carolina where he enjoyed fishing, woodworking and time with wonderful neighbors and new friends. He is survived by his son, Eric Baskerville of Piedmont, SC, his sister, Helen B. (Dr. Louis) Wilhelmi of Augusta, Georgia, and several nieces and nephews. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1200 Cornelia Road, Anderson with internment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
