Johnson, age 77, husband of Elizabeth M. Johnson, died Friday, August 31, 2007 at the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson, SC.Born in Iva, SC on May 28, 1930, Mr. Johnson was a son of the late Joseph J. Johnson and Lucille Lawton Johnson. He served in the United States Army for two years during the Korean Conflict and served twelve years in the United States National Guard. He was retired from Coats Distributors. Mr. Johnson was a Mason and a former member of the Piedmont Pentecostal Church.Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth M. Johnson of the home; sons, Keith Johnson and his wife Linda of Simpsonville, SC and Wesley Johnson and his wife, Missy of Greer, SC and six grandchildren, Brandon, Hampton, Cameron, Danielle, Alex and Blake.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, J. C. Johnson, Bobby Johnson and Joseph Johnson and one sister, Essie Lou Hanvey.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverends Eugene McElahannon and Ray Buchanan officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Anderson.Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, September 1, 2007 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SC Alzheimer's Association, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite 1, Anderson, SC 29621 or Richard M.
