GERALDINE CARITHERS March 20, 1925 - August 8, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Geraldine Carithers, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Heardmont Nursing Home in Elberton, GA. Geraldine was a daughter of the late Clifton and Sara Cooper. She retired from Wamsutta after 15 years of service. She was a member of Trinity Springs Church of God. Survivors include her daughters, Robbie James and her husband Brad of Anderson and Jane Cain and her husband Don of Anderson; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Daniel Carithers, Sr.; a son, James Daniel Carithers, Jr. and by all of her brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel on Friday, August 10, 2012 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 pm with Reverend Terry Bailey officiating. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Robbie James, 903 Sharonwood Drive, Anderson. The Carithers family would like to thank the staff of Heardmont Nursing Home and Compassionate Care Hospice for their care shown to Mrs. Carithers.
