GERTRUDE DUDLEY July 20, 1915 - January 4, 2007ANDERSON, SCMrs. Gertrude Nichols Dudley, age 91, of Anderson and wife of the late Joel J. Dudley, died Thursday, January 04, 2007 at the Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Pelzer, SC on July 20, 1915, Mrs. Dudley was a daughter of the late M. D. Nichols and Hattie Bradley Nichols. She was retired from textiles and was a former member of the Assembly Church of Anderson and currently a member of the House of Prayer.Survivors include a son, Ronald J. Dudley and his wife Linda, of Cartersville, GA; daughters, Doris Conwell and Peggy Nation and her husband Reverend Jerry Nation, all of Anderson, SC; four sisters, Geneva Brown and Bobbie Cross of Anderson, Jean Alewine and her husband, Boyce of Starr and Nancy Worley of Anderson; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence D. Nichols and Sherman Nichols; a sister, Hattie N. Wilson and a son-in-law, Reverend Charles Conwell.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Jerry Nation and Rodney Harbin.
