OBITUARYGERTRUDE THACKERMay 14, 1923 - August 3, 2007ANDERSON, SCGertrude Sullivan Thacker, age 84, formerly of Carling Drive, widow of the late Lonnie Thacker, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 3, 2007 at the Hospice House.Born in Anderson, Mrs. Thacker was a daughter of the late Ben Sullivan and Essie Hanks Sullivan. She was a retired textile worker and a member of the Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church.Survivors include her son, Donnie Thacker of Anderson; daughters, Juanita Love of Anderson and Barbara Smith of Hartwell, GA. Six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Daniel Boyce Thacker; her brothers, Fred, Ben, Ray, and Harold Sullivan and her sister, Beatrice Culbertson.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 6, 2007 at 2:00 pm in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Reverends Brent Lollis and Julien Crowe. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 5, 2007 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.The family will be at the daughters' homes at 627 Wilmac Drive, Anderson and 330 Azalea Drive, Hartwell, GA.
