OBITUARY MRS. GINGER J. REIDMarch 10, 1935 - October 14, 2006STARR, SCMrs. Ginger Jordan Reid, age 71, of 233 Forest Lane Road, wife of the late Charles 'Dobby' Reid, died Saturday, October 14, 2006 at her residence.Born in Anderson, SC on March 10, 1935, Mrs. Reid was a daughter of the late William M. Jordan and Lois Rumsey Jordan. She was a supervisor in the Dietary Department at NHC HealthCare for fourteen years and also worked in several textiles mills in Anderson. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple.Survivors include a son, Charles Reid and his wife Sheila of Anderson, SC; three daughters, Debra Kupsick and her husband Jim, of Warner, OK, Kathy Grogan and her husband, Bruce, of Anderson, SC and Stacy Higgins of Starr, SC; a brother, Larry Jordan of Starr, SC; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was a very special 'Mimi' to many nieces and nephews and to all who knew her. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Sam Duncan. Interment will follow in New Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 16, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of her daughter, Stacy Higgins, 233 Forest Lane Road, Starr, SC.Flowers are optional.
