GLADYS CHEEK September 8, 1931 - April 14, 2013 BELTON, SC Gladys Estelle Cheek, age 81, of Belton, SC, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Oscar Smith and the late Willie Mae Harper Smith. She had a great love of flowers. Gladys deeply loved her family. She was a member of Williamston Church of God. She is survived by her children, Jerry Cheek and his wife Robbie of Lutz, FL, Donnie Cheek, and Shorty Cheek, both of Belton, Juanita Neal and her husband Danny of Anderson, Linda Raburn and her husband Larry of Belton, Norma Grant of Anderson, Mary Cheek of Belton, Kim Hasting and her husband Larry of Ninety Six and Candy Baker and her husband Jon of Williamston; a sister, Marlene Coyle of West Pelzer; 26 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Kimsey Cheek. The Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at 3:30 PM with Reverend Joe Mayfield and Sister Edna Rowland officiating. The family will gather for a time of visitation following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
