COLE September 10, 1920 - January 17, 2007ANDERSON, SCMrs. Gladys Adams Cole, age 86, formerly of Bailey Court, Anderson, wife of the late Clyde C. Cole, died Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.Born in Habersham County, GA on September 10, 1920, Mrs. Cole was a daughter of the late Barney Duluth Adams and Gertrude Mullinax Adams. She was retired from Wometco Food Service and was active in 'See the World Tours'. She was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church and involved in the Joy Ministries, the SALT Ministries, and the Reflections Choir. She was also a member of the Alathean Sunday School class and a former member of the church choir.Survivors include her special family, Phil and Colleen Manly and their children, Sarah, April, Jacob, Ethan and Jonathan; two nieces, Linda Connally of Seneca, SC and Cecelia Willett of Newport News, VA; nephew, Stephen Ballew of Foxworth, MS and her aunt, Nora Mullinax Anderson, SC.A sister, Ruth Elizabeth Adams Ballew preceded her in death.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2007 at 11:00 am at Oakwood Baptist Church officiated by the Reverends Brent Armstrong and Darren Rood. Interment will follow in Old Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, January 18, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mrs. Cole will be placed in the church at 10:30 am on Friday.Flowers are optional.
