Gladys Joyce Brown Crawford, age 76, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Morningside Assisted Living. Born in Greenwood, SC on March 31, 1940, she was the daughter of the late James Troy Brown, Sr. and the late Hester Sue Grant Brown. She retired from Clemson University, Department of Natural Resources in the Budget Management Department. Gladys was a long-time member of Concord Baptist Church where she volunteered with Operation Christmas Child and was on the prayer committee. She is survived by her two sons, Chuck Crawford and David Crawford and his wife Anja; and four grandchildren, Hogan, Caroline, Hanna, and Josh Crawford. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ed, Jim, and Charles Brown ; and a sister, Glenda Brown Knox. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church with Dr. Don Cox and Reverend Bob Marcaurelle officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
