Gladys Inez Cromer

Gladys Inez Cromer, age 98, passed away on February 18, 2015, at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Hart County, GA, on June 28, 1916, she was the daughter of the late David Omer Cromer and the late Perlie Amanda Roach Cromer. She worked for Cleveland Tennessee Church of God Publishing Company, Bailes Department Store, and retired from True Temper Corp with over 20 years of service. Gladys was an avid vegetable and flower gardener and enjoyed quilting. She was the oldest member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She is survived by a brother, James Donald Cromer (Peggy); sisters, Blondine Spain, Merle Witcher Brown (Henry), Doris Veal, and Donna Pettit-Ellis; sisters-in-law, Athelia and Dolores Cromer; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Frank Avery Cromer, Sidney Cromer, Edward Cromer; and sisters, Shelvie Dyar, Mary Sue Elgin, and Grace Edmonds.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church with Reverend Brent Lollis and Reverend Ray Buchanan officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church, 711 Glenn Street, Anderson, SC 29625.
