Gladys Virginia Foster, age 88, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Hart Care Center in Hartwell, GA. Born in Anderson, SC on October 7, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Calvin and Lucy Gunter Middleton. She retired from Orr-Lyons Mill as a weaver of more than 30 years. Gladys was a member of the Sunshine Club. She is survived by her children, John Thomas Foster and Janice Cody and her husband Charlie; four grandchildren, Bryan, Mark, and Christen Foster, and Kelly Fleshman and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Thomas Foster, two brothers, Jackie and Billy Middleton; and a sister, Mildred McCurry. The Graveside service will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Sam Duncan officiating.
