GLADYS H. SMITH March 19, 1935 - May 10, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Gladys Louise Hall Smith, age 78, of Anderson, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Lila Doyle Skilled Nursing Facility. Born in Honea Path, she was the daughter of the late Radney D. Hall and the late Lillie Mae Powell Hall. She retired from Clark Schwebel after many years of service. Gladys dearly loved her family; they were her pride and joy. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Joy Sunday School class. She is survived by her three daughters, Mary Ellen Teel and her husband Tom of Anderson, Kathy Mae Springer and her husband Mark of Jacksonville, FL and Patricia Ann Boyd and her husband John of Anderson, SC; a brother, William Harrison Hall and his wife Yvonne of Honea Path, SC; a sister, Mary Frances Reid and her husband Robert of Sandy Springs, SC; a brother-in-law, Jerry Phillips of Honea Path; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and a very special friend, Marvin Burton of Easley, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Vivian Black Phillips. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with Reverend Hudson White and Reverend Randy Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
