Moore, age 86, of 1811 Elberton Highway, Iva, SC, wife of the late Henry W. 'Jiggs' Moore, died Thursday, September 21, 2006 at the Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Elbert County, GA on July 22, 1920, Mrs. Moore was a daughter of the late Gary Whitman and Eula Holmes Whitman. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Iva Church of God.Survivors include sons, James R. Moore and Wallace Dean Moore, both of Iva; daughters, Hilda F. Davis of Iva, Brenda Lee Brown and Ida Jean McAbee, both of Starr; brothers, Clifton Whitman of North, SC, Cubby Whitman of Florida and Coleman Whitman of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Sylvene Keown of Starr, Parnece Anderson and Thelma Thesley, both of Anderson, Hazel Campbell of Iva and Christine Anderson of Mississippi; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, Cecil and Bill Whitman.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 11:00 am at Iva Church of God officiated by the Reverends Gene Graham and Patrick Keown. Interment will follow in Iva City Cemetery in Iva.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, September 22, 2006 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Mrs. Moore will be placed in the church at 10:00 am on Saturday.The family will be at the home of her daughter, Brenda Brown, 2501 Gentry Road, Starr, SC.Flowers are optional.
