Gordon Robert Henderson, age 85, of Anderson, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 16, 2021. Born December 16, 1935 in Clemson, SC, he was the son of the late Nathan Henderson and Lois Boggs Henderson. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Gordon was retired from Bell South with 30 years of service to the company. He was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and was a faithful member of Gospel Light Church. Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Geraldine "Jerri" C. Henderson; and many beloved family members and friends. A private family graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 4:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Chad Gamble, Rev. Larry Pearson, and Mr. Mike Bowles officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, PO Box 285, Anderson, SC 29622. The family will be at the home of Nick and Diane Haley.
