Grace McConnell Brissey, 84, of Anderson, SC passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born December 30, 1933 in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Pierce McConnell and the late Eunice Campbell McConnell. She was also preceded in death by her son, William S. "Chase" Brissey and her aunt, Bertie McConnell. Grace was a woman of many talents. In her earlier years she worked as a secretary for Strom Thurmond, then worked in the radio industry and as a host of a television show. She then became the first lady home builder in the upstate and was very successful working in real estate with her husband Bill. She is survived by her husband, William S. "Bill" Brissey; daughters, Lisa B Baughman and Sherry B. Partain; grandchildren, Michelle Corbin (Will), William Cody Partain and Andrew Gall; great-grandchild, Tres Corbin and special friend, Corrine Galloway. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 25, 2018 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Old Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will receive friends at her home following the service at 1406 Hunters Trail, Anderson, SC. Flowers will be accepted, and memorials may be made to Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E.
