She was the manager of Textiles Stores Cloth Shop for a number of years and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.Survivors include her son, Gary Gunnels of Anderson; daughter, Susan Rhodes and her husband Jim of Roxboro, NC; four grandchildren, Zachary C. Gunnels, Christianna G. Gunnels, Teresa L. Coleman and her husband Wayne, Kelly Duncan and her husband Dale and two great-grandchildren, Aivry and Ellis Coleman. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Calvin Smith. Interment will follow in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Abbeville.The family will be at the home of David Thomas, 231 Forest Cove Road, Anderson, SC and will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 3, 2010 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
