GRACE PEARMAN McDOUGALD ANDERSON, SCMrs. Grace Pearman McDougald, age 98 of 311 Simpson Road, Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, June 06, 2007 at her residence.Mrs. McDougald was the widow of Douglas C. McDougald. Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin J. and Daisy Major Pearman. Most of her youth was spent in Starr, SC. Mrs. McDougald was a graduate of Winthrop College and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Anderson. She was a member of the Cateechee Chapter of the DAR. She was a member and past president of the Anderson Garden Club, a Master Judge, and also a founder of the Anderson County Woman's Club. Mrs. McDougald was instrumental in the founding of The McDougald Funeral Home where she served in various capacities throughout a good portion of her life. She is survived by a son, Douglas C. McDougald Jr., and his wife, Peggy. Also surviving are two grandsons, Douglas McDougald III, his wife, Tricia and their children, Max, Ben and Meg and Jess F. McDougald, his wife, Greer and their children, Wells and Sarah Grace. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Silas N. Pearman and Benjamin J. Pearman and one sister, Viola P. Hicks.The Funeral Service for Mrs. McDougald will be held on Friday, June 8, 2007 at 11:30 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Dennis R. Tedder officiating.
