Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late John Paul Conwell and the late Annie Mae Hayes Conwell. For 45 years, she was the loving and devoted wife of the late Lucius Meredith Neese until his death in 2009. Mrs. Neese was a home maker who was devoted to her family with a special love for her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards with her family, and loved to travel. Survivors include a son, John M. Neese and his wife, Angela, of Charlotte, NC; a daughter Tina Stephens and her husband, Jason, of Anderson; 2 step-daughters, Karen Wilson and husband, Cliff, of Pawley's Island, SC and Sandra Perkins and husband, Jeff, of Anderson; 2 grandchildren, Alexandra Hayne and Joshua Stephens. Those who preceded Grace in death include her parents, her husband, Lucius, a daughter, Lisa Renee Neese, a brother, Charles Conwell and a sister, Pauline Metz. A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Grace Conwell Neese will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at 2 PM at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, August 12, 2013, from 6 PM until 8 PM.
