COXOctober 16, 1919 - January 20, 2007ANDERSON, SCMrs. Grace Louise Picklesimer Cox, age 87, of 33 Harbor Gate, wife of the late Charles Lee Cox, Jr., died Saturday, January 20, 2007 at her residence.Born in Rockingham, NC, Mrs. Cox was a daughter of the late Martin Picklesimer and Nettie Medlin Picklesimer. She was a member of Roberts Presbyterian Church and a few of her numerous community involvements included, Purple Heart, V.F.W., the Soup Kitchen and the Presbyterian Women's Association. Mrs. Cox served her country proudly as a veteran of the United States Army and as a wife of a retired officer in the United States Air Force.Survivors include, her son Charles Lee Cox, III and his wife Cynthia of Raleigh, NC; her daughters, Janis Lee Culverhouse of Rapid City, SD, Nancy A. Sanford of Anderson, SC, Elizabeth Jordan of Heber Springs, AR and Susan Davis and her husband James Alton of Anderson, SC; her sister, Helen P. Smith of Anderson; her brother-in-law, James 'Cotton' Greenway of Anderson, SC and twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandson.In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Jeanette Harbuck, Irene Ivester, Mable Grant and Peggy Greenway.The Funeral Service will be held at Roberts Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at 2:00 pm officiated by the Reverend Dale Rawlings. Interment will follow at Roberts Presbyterian Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the Upstate Veterans Honor Guard.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, January 22, 2007 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.Memorials may be made to Roberts Presbyterian Church, 2710 S.C. 187 South, Anderson, SC 29626.
