MARSHAL HENDRIX July 12, 1947 - February 14, 2013 LA FRANCE, SC Grady Marshal Hendrix, age 65, husband of Henrietta Vaughn Hendrix, his beloved wife of 46 years, of LaFrance, SC, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Hickory Flat, GA, he was the son of the late Grady Tharon Hendrix and the late Lois Kathleen McDaniel Hendrix. He was a Master Carpenter for over 40 years and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He attended Burdine Road Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Henrietta Vaughn Hendrix; a daughter, Angie Richardson and her husband Paul of Pendleton; a son, David Hendrix and his wife Rene' of Pendleton;; two brothers, Joey Hendrix of Athens, GA and Shane Hendrix of Thomaston, GA; two sisters, Frances Swilley and Brenda Swilley, both of McDonough, GA; and five grandchildren, Brandi Harbert and her husband Jonn, Carrie Hendrix, Hannah Hendrix, Clint Hendrix, Olivia Hendrix; and one great-granddaughter, Meah Harbert. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Hendrix. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 3:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Curtis Lanier officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of his son David, 1413 Levis Smith Road, Pendleton, SC and will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, prior to the service from 1:30 pm until 3:30 pm.
