Gregory Allen Potter, 61, of Anderson, SC, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Rainey Hospice House. Born February 17, 1958 in San Bernadino, CA, he was the son of the late Verne Frederick Potter, Jr. and Barbara May Alton Potter. Greg was a veteran of the United States Army and worked in the automotive industry. He had been a mechanic for several auto shops and more recently worked in sales for Timms Harley Davidson in Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Sue Hastings Potter of the home; daughters, Alison Potter of Las Vegas, NV and Jayme Burdette (Chris) of Williamston; sisters, Marilyn Wallack (Ron) of Minneapolis, MN and Susan Potter (Carolyn Lyons) of Pasadena, CA; and grandchildren, Paisley Miller, Savannah Burdette, Paige Burdette, Chelsea Burdette and Jarod Burdette. The family will receive friends from 11:00am-12:15pm Friday, September 27, 2019 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service, with military honors, will be held at 1:00pm in the Committal Shelter at MJ "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Chaplain Craig Johnson officiating.
