Gregory Kinsland Franks, the son of the late John William Franks and the late Carol White Franks of Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

Greg was born on March 9, 1963, in Anderson, SC. He was a graduate of Belton Honea Path High School and attended Tri County Technical College. He worked for Lonza of Greenwood, SC until his retirement in 2018. In addition to being an excellent cook, Greg enjoyed gardening and his beloved cats. He had a sharp wit and enjoyed regaling tales of family history. He was a loving and dedicated son who always cared for his parents.

He is survived by his brother William Franks (Joe), of Greenwood, SC; sisters, Jan Ott of Greenville, SC and Lisa Wurzer (David) of Old Lyme, CT; two nieces; two nephews; one great niece; and one great nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a nephew.

A private service will be held by the family.
