Horace Guy Davis, age 75, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at his home. Born in Anderson, SC on March 20, 1943 he was the son of the late Harry Lee Davis and the late Helen Carver Davis. He was a graduate of Boy's High School and retired from BASF after 20 years of service. Guy was a big sports fan and an avid golfer. He was a faithful member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness. Those left to cherish his memory are Carrie Davis Newton, Darryl Guy Davis and his wife Valerie, Tara Elizabeth Saylors and her husband Danny, Tony Davis and his wife Donna, Zachary Davis, Ryan Newton, and three grandchildren Heidi, Sam, and Nathaniel. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann "Patsy" Alderson Davis, a sister, Annette Bowen; and brothers, Ronnie Davis, Marion Lee Davis, and T.E. Davis. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church with Reverend Dr. Brent Lollis officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. Flowers will be accepted.
