JEROME BANNISTER Piercetown, SC Herman Jerome Bannister, age 78, husband of Charlean Neal Bannister, passed away on January 17, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Anderson, SC on November 14, 1935 he was the son of the late Allan Bannister and the late Georgia McLarin Bannister. He was retired from Piedmont Natural Gas. He is survived by his wife of the home; sister, Mildred Latham (Fent); brothers-in-law, Tom Neal, Jackie Neal (Linda), and Junior Neal (Nancy); caretaker and devoted niece, Esther White, and numerous devoted nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean Bannister; brother, Allan Bannister, Jr.; sisters in law, Dot Neal and Barbara Gaines and brother in law, Harold Gaines. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Friendship Baptist Church with the Pastor Dale Hart and Pastor Chad Hastings officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery West. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm prior to the service.
